Meredith comments, “How should we pray?  Why should we pray?  When Jesus’ disciples asked him to teach them to pray, he gave them the Lord’s Prayer. Sunday’s sermon will suggest that this prayer is far from a brief, formal prayer which is all too easy to repeat while one’s mind is far away.  If we enter fully into Jesus’ prayer, we find ourselves in soul-searching struggle over how we conceive of God and where we stand in relation to God’s kingdom.”
