Pentecost Sunday celebrates the birth of the Church Jesus promised to build, out of the transformed lives of his followers.  The story of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-21) emphasizes that the Holy Spirit took control of all of Jesus’ followers present (likely 100+), not just the twelve Disciples.  What does it mean to be Under the influence of the Holy Spirit?   Are we under other influences, which prevent the Spirit from taking control of our lives?  What did Jesus teach his disciples about the Holy Spirit, on the night he was betrayed (John 15:26-27, and 16:7-15)?
