Disciples of John the Baptist and the Pharisees were fasting.  Jesus’ disciples were not.  The former asked Jesus, “What’s up with that?” (Mark 2:18-22)   Gary Martin’s sermon, Discern the times, will focus on how Jesus taught his followers to respond to the new things of the Spirit, when they appear to contradict what has been considered sacred.  The service is being planned by Elsa Raab, and led by Gail Fisher.
